The Astroparticle and High Energy Physics Group, AHEP, is part of IFIC, a joint research institute of Spain’s National Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and Universitat de València (UVEG), devoted to nuclear and particle physics, theoretical and experimental.
We are currently funded by Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and Generalitat Valenciana. We also participate in EU-Cost actions and in the Spanish research networks Multidark and RENATA.
The training capacity of our team is well recognized, with 13 PhD theses completed at the University of Valencia in the last 10 years. Our group members have also been actively engaged in teaching in the Master in Advanced Physics and in the PhD program in Physics from the University of Valencia. We also regularly lecture at international PhD schools and participate in the International advisory boards of ISAPP and IDPASC. Our solid tradition in hosting astroparticle conferences and schools dates back to 1991, with an impressive number of events in Spain and abroad, sponsored by a variety of European and national sources.
With more than 25 years of existence, our research group has maintained an average of four/five postdoctoral members funded by our National Grant, by competitive national calls (Juan de la Cierva, JAE-Doc from CSIC), by European sources (Marie Curie networks or individual EU contracts) or directly by foreign agencies (Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, etc.).
The members of our research team are also actively involved in different kinds of outreach activities.
